Three More Men Charged in William Algar Murder Probe
New Charges Hit in Algar Murder Case
Detectives have charged three more men with perverting the course of justice in the investigation into William Algar’s murder. The latest arrests ramp up pressure as the case continues to unfold.
Charged and Court Dates Set
- Mark Harding, 44, from Isleworth, was charged on Monday, 9 March. He’s set to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court the same day. Harding was first arrested on 27 January.
- Emeka Dawuda-Wodu, 18, of no fixed address, has been charged by postal requisition. He will face court on 17 March. He was initially arrested on 4 February.
- Simon Emmons, 39, also homeless, is charged by postal requisition with a court date on the same day as Dawuda-Wodu. He was arrested on 6 February.
Background: Ongoing Investigation
Earlier, a 17-year-old from Kensington and Chelsea was charged with murder on 6 January. He appeared at the Old Bailey on 8 January and is remanded for a plea hearing in May.
Separately, a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and preventing lawful burial on 31 January, but has since been released under investigation.
Police Seek Witnesses
Detectives are urgently appealing for anyone who had contact with William Algar, known as Blaise, in December 2019 to come forward. Algar was found dead at his Nowell Road house in SW13 on 3 January.
