Camden Shooting Leaves Seven-Year-Old Fighting for Life
Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses after a shocking Saturday afternoon shooting in Camden left a young child critically injured.
Saturday’s Horror on Phoenix Road
At 1:29pm on 14 January, officers rushed to Phoenix Road, NW1, following reports of a shooting. Emergency crews from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance arrived swiftly at the scene.
Three men aged 41, 48, and 54 were taken to a central London hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, the 48-year-old suffers potentially life-changing wounds.
Seven-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition
Tragically, a seven-year-old girl was also shot and remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
Superintendent Ed Wells said: “Any shooting incident is unacceptable, but for multiple people, including two children, to be injured in the middle of a Saturday afternoon is shocking. Our thoughts are with all the victims, especially the seven-year-old girl and her family. “An intensive investigation is underway with local officers and specialist detectives working hard to catch those responsible. “Residents will see an increased police presence in Camden in the coming days as we pursue every lead. “I urge anyone with information to contact police or provide details anonymously to Crimestoppers.”
