A man has been jailed after being caught dealing dangerous Class A and B drugs on Brighton’s streets.

Police Catch Suspicious Drug Deal in Action

On February 22, police patrolling Sillwood Street spotted a passerby signal a man. The two slipped inside a nearby property for just seconds. When the man stepped out, officers suspected a quick drug deal had taken place.

Officers moved fast to stop 26-year-old Hamza Adanir, from The Green, Ealing. A search uncovered ketamine, cocaine, cannabis, and a stash of cash.

Fast-Tracked Justice at Lewes Crown Court

Arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply one Class A and two Class B drugs, Adanir pleaded guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court just two days later. He was held on remand until his sentencing.

On March 24, Adanir was slammed with an 18-month jail term at Lewes Crown Court.

Brighton’s streets are now a little safer with this dealer behind bars.
