Five Drug Dealers Locked Up in Kent After Police Crackdown
Five drug dealers were sentenced to a total of over 18 years behind bars in May 2021, following a tough investigation by a single Kent Police team. The County Lines and Gangs Team uncovered their roles in pushing class A drugs across multiple Kent towns.
Major Haul and Multiple Arrests
Alongside the prison sentences, the same team joined a national week of intensified action that jailed six more suspects and led to 13 arrests. They also seized nearly £13,000 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug dealing.
Key Offenders Brought to Justice
- Andre Musungu, 20, from London’s Bermondsey, used a Folkestone hotel as his drug base. Caught with over 300 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, he was sentenced to 4½ years.
- Connor Martin, 19, of no fixed address, and Henry Muggridge, 32, from Tunbridge Wells, supplied cocaine locally and received a combined jail term of over seven years.
- Corbin Turner, 21, from Ramsgate, was caught in plain clothes dealing crack cocaine and handed 3 years and 9 months.
- John Kiernan, 24, of Abbey Wood, was jailed for 2½ years after being found in a car used for drug transport in Canterbury, with phones coordinating the supply.
Kent Police Vow To Stamp Out County Lines
“Drug dealers are responsible for widespread misery in our communities and we take a zero tolerance approach,” said Detective Chief Inspector Rob Harper. “Kent is not a destination for aspiring dealers. Anyone with ambitions to sell drugs here will be targeted.”
During the week of action, officers also safeguarded 34 properties where vulnerable people could be exploited by drug networks.
“We’re not just chasing dealers, we’re protecting those at risk and working with partner agencies to keep communities safe,” added DCI Harper.
