Six hardened criminals from a vicious organised crime gang have been jailed for ripping off a massive £700,000 from ATMs across the UK. The gang, who boldly named themselves ‘F*** The Police’, operated out of Luton but had Romanian roots.
High-Tech ATM Heists Hit 51 Locations Nationwide
From February to December 2024, the crew struck 51 ATMs in covert night raids. Using slick gadgets and tech tricks, they hacked security systems to sucker-punch machines into coughing up cash over 3,300 times. Lookouts were on guard while the gang emptied tills right across the country.
Top Crooks Caught and Locked Away for Years
- Razvan Verde, 31 – The mastermind who recruited and led the gang. Linked to nearly £300,000 stolen, he’s locked up for 4 years 4 months.
- Gabriel Rosu, 33 – The planner who picked ATM targets, caught with photos of hit spots on his phone. He bagged 3½ years.
- Constantin Boghiu, 25 – The heavy hitter making 35 raids tied to £130,000 thefts. Sentenced to 3 years 3 months.
- Marius Chifan, 33 – The fixer who opened bank accounts and helped scheme. Jailed for 3 years.
- Alexandru Militaru, 25 – In on nearly £100,000 of fraud. Got 2 years 5 months.
- Christian Cimpoesu, 28 – Hit 10 ATMs and copped 18 months last month.

Three other gang members are queued up for sentencing soon. All nine criminals now face potential deportation after their prison stretch, as UK authorities toughen up on this tech-savvy crime ring.
