A father and son from Great Sankey, Warrington, have been handed a combined prison sentence of more than 10 years for horrific sexual offences against two young girls.
Lee Brown Gets 4 Years 4 Months for Multiple Sexual Assaults
Lee Brown, 21, was already sentenced on 3 May 2023 to four years and four months after pleading guilty to eight counts of sexual assault. His crimes included multiple counts of oral rape and coercing the victims into inappropriate touching.
Terrence Brown Jailed for 6.5 Years After Guilty Verdict
Their father, 60-year-old Terrence Brown, was found guilty following a four-day trial at Liverpool Crown Court and sentenced to six years and six months on 8 September. He committed 11 counts of sexual offences, including inappropriate touching and exposing one girl to cartoon pornography.
Victims’ Bravery Praised by Police After Harrowing Ordeal
Det. Constable Irene Cadman, who led the probe into Lee, said:
“This is a horrific situation in which two young girls were subjected to horrendous abuse on separate occasions by a father and son. I would like to recognise the bravery of the victims who, in the case of Terrence, were put through the stress of a trial after he failed to show accountability for his actions. Now, both Lee and Terrence are facing time behind bars, and I hope the conclusion of this case helps bring some closure for the victims.”
Detective Constable Cameron Mackay, who led Terrence’s investigation, added:
“We remain committed to ensuring offenders like these are brought to justice.”
