Talbot Green rocked as five charged over Joanne Penney’s murder

Shock ripples through Talbot Green after 40-year-old Joanne Penney was fatally shot at a property on Llys Illtyd last Sunday, March 9. Police have now charged five suspects in connection with the tragic killing.

Murder and Organised Crime Charges Laid

South Wales Police revealed that two women and three men face murder-related charges. They are set to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, March 15.

  • Marcus Huntley, 20, from St Mellons, Cardiff – charged with murder
  • Melissa Quailey-Dashper, 39, from Leicester – charged with murder
  • Kristina Ginova, 21, from Oadby, Leicestershire – charged with assisting an offender
  • Joshua Gordon, 27, from Oadby, Leicestershire – charged with murder
  • Tony Porter, 68, from Braunstone Town, Leicestershire – charged with murder and participating in organised crime

Sixth Suspect Arrested in Suffolk

Detectives also confirmed a sixth man, 32, was arrested Friday evening in Suffolk. He remains in custody as the investigation tightens its grip.

“Our detectives are piecing together the heartbreaking details behind Joanne’s death,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Ceri Hughes. “We urge anyone with information about the incident at Llys Illtyd on Sunday to come forward. Even the smallest clue could be crucial.”
