Man Shot Through Window in Shocking Ifield Road Attack
A man was shot through a window at a private address on Ifield Road at around 9.20pm on 9 February 2020. He was rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound and is now recovering.
Attack Was No Accident – Wrong Target?
Detectives say the shooting was pre-planned but shockingly, the victim was not the intended target. The gunman fired from outside the property, aiming through a window.
Four Men Arrested After Months of Investigation
After months of probing the case, police arrested four men on 10 November in connection with the shooting.
- Two suspects, aged 34 and 42, hail from south east London. The 42-year-old has since been bailed until 7 December.
- One suspect, already behind bars on an unrelated sentence, remains under investigation.
- The last two men, 22 and 23 years old, come from Greater Manchester.
- Both have been released while inquiries continue, with the 23-year-old also in prison for a separate matter.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“These arrests mark a significant step forward, but the investigation is still very much ongoing,” said Detective Chief Inspector Gavin Moss, lead investigator. “If you have any information, please contact us immediately.”
