Four Boys Arrested After Brutal East London Mugging
Late-Night Attack in Barking
Four boys, aged 12 to 16, were hauled in by police after a 23-year-old man was attacked and robbed near Barking station late Saturday night. The victim suffered minor injuries and had his mobile phone snatched in the scary incident at Station Parade around 11:30pm on March 22.
Suspects Caught Fast
Police swiftly swooped and nabbed the suspects on the spot. The group includes a 14-year-old from Enfield, a 16-year-old from East Ham, and two boys aged 12 and 16 from Havering. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault but were later released on bail as inquiries continue.
“Around 23:30hrs on Saturday, 22 March, police responded following reports that a man had been assaulted in Station Parade, Barking. The victim, a 23-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and had his phone stolen,” a Met Police spokesperson told MyLondon.
Community Alarm Over Youth Crime
The incident has sparked fresh concerns about rising youth violence, especially around busy spots like Barking’s transport hubs. Station Parade, which runs next to Barking Underground and Overground station, is usually bustling, even late at night.
