Man Stabbed to Death on West Lane: Four Charged with Murder
Tragedy struck West Lane last Wednesday evening when police found a 41-year-old man unresponsive outside a property at around 6.30pm.
Despite urgent medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds.
Four Arrested and Charged
- Three men, aged 52, 44, and 42
- One 42-year-old woman
All four were arrested in connection with the stabbing. They now face murder charges and are remanded in custody ahead of their December 4 hearing at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court.
A 16-year-old boy was also arrested and remains in police custody, undergoing questioning.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Safety
Police say enquiries are ongoing. Residents near West Lane may notice a heavier police presence over the coming days.
Authorities assure the public there is no wider threat.
