Northwich Cops Snatch Fugitive Drug Dealer After Year on the Run
Jack Day, 32, has finally been locked up for four years after a relentless police hunt. The no fixed abode dealer was nailed at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, 30 January. He copped to multiple charges: dealing class A drugs, carrying a knife, possession of class B drugs, and driving without insurance.
From Wanted Fugitive to Behind Bars
Day landed on the national police wanted list in November 2024 over illegal drug supply. Despite several searches and public alerts, he dodged the law for nearly a year. His freedom ran out on 15 October 2025 at a petrol station in Speke, where Northwich officers finally pinned him down. On arrest, cops found two mobiles, £400 cash, cannabis, drug gear, and a lock knife. Phone data confirmed he was actively dealing cocaine.
Police Issue Stark Warning to Dealers and Public
“No matter where you hide, we will find you and bring you to justice,” warned Detective Constable Lara Hill.
“Illegal drugs wreck lives and communities. Our team is dedicated to making Mid Cheshire safer and stopping dealers dead in their tracks.”
“We can’t do it alone. Residents need to stay alert, spot signs of trouble, and report concerns on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
Extra Penalties Hit Jack Day Hard
On top of the jail term, Day must cough up £260 in court costs and will face a six-month driving ban. The message is clear: crime doesn’t pay.
