Second Arrest Made in Essex Lorry Deaths Horror

Essex Police have swooped again, arresting another man linked to the tragic deaths of 39 people found stuffed in a refrigerated lorry.

Man Held Over Human Trafficking and Manslaughter

The new suspect, from Purfleet, is in custody and being questioned over conspiracy to traffic people and aiding unlawful immigration. The victims were 39 Vietnamese nationals discovered dead in the back of the lorry in Grays.

He was arrested in Dalston, East London, on Monday as the investigation ramps up.

Lorry Driver Pleads Guilty at Old Bailey

Maurice Robinson, the lorry driver from Craigavon, County Armagh, pleaded guilty today at the Old Bailey. He admitted conspiring with others to assist illegal immigration between May 2018 and October 2019.
