Gardaí Smash Drug Operation in Donabate Raid
A major drug bust rocked Donabate today as Gardaí from Swords swooped on a property, uncovering a stash worth tens of thousands. The raid unearthed a haul of cannabis, cocaine, cash, and luxury goods, delivering a blow to local drug dealers.
Massive Haul Seized: Cannabis, Cocaine, Cash & Rolex
Officers found around €22,000 worth of cannabis and a quantity of cocaine during the operation. Alongside the drugs, they recovered €12,500 in cash and a flashy Rolex watch, believed to be bought with proceeds from crime. The haul highlights the lucrative nature of the drug trade in the area.
Young Suspect Nabbed and Charged
A person in their 20s was arrested on the scene and has been formally charged. They are set to face Balbriggan District Court tomorrow morning. The raid is part of an ongoing probe into the local sale and supply of illegal drugs, with Gardaí keeping up the pressure on criminal networks.
“This seizure forms part of our continued commitment to disrupt drug dealing and related criminal activity in the Swords and Donabate areas,” a Garda spokesperson said.
More Raids and Arrests May Follow
Investigations are still underway, and Gardaí have warned that further arrests and searches could happen soon. The operation underscores growing efforts to clamp down on suburban drug distribution networks in North County Dublin.
