County Lines Drug Dealer Nabbed in Gravesend
Nahom Gebeermskel, 23, from Milton Road, Gravesend, is behind bars for four years after police caught him running a county lines drug network.
Trapped at Gravesend Station with £16,800 of Class A Drugs
Officers on the lookout for drug activity spotted Gebeermskel getting off a London train at Gravesend railway station on 5 August 2019. When approached, he bolted—but not before a hefty stash of crack cocaine and heroin dropped from his waistband.
The drugs, valued at up to £16,800, sparked a violent scuffle during which one officer was assaulted. Gebeermskel was quickly arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply.
Police Crackdown on County Lines Gangs
“Criminals believe they can freely operate in some areas but we have our eyes and ears everywhere,” said Detective Sergeant Andrew Leventis of North Kent CID. “Our mix of uniformed and plainclothes officers is making it harder for criminals to sell drugs in this county. We will not let up—just ask Gebeermskel.”
Gebeermskel pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on 11 November 2019.
