Homeless Heroin Dealer Caught at Chester Station

A 52-year-old man has been jailed after a major heroin stash was uncovered just outside Chester Train Station. Richard Roberts, homeless and on the run, was busted in a slick police dog operation.

How the Sniffer Dog Nabbed the Dealer

On the morning of Saturday 28 June 2025, cops set a passive drug search near Chester Station. Just before 11:20am, Roberts appeared and the sniffer dog immediately gave a sharp alert.

Officers, knowing Roberts’ dodgy past with drugs, searched him then and there. They found 20 wraps of heroin hidden in a small black bag, a suspected burner phone, and £700 in cash.

Roberts was promptly arrested and later locked up for his drug dealing crimes, ending his reign on Chester’s streets.
