A violent thief who terrorised Edenbridge’s Waitrose has finally been charged. The suspect is accused of repeatedly stealing meat, booze, and more between February and June 2022.
Staff Suffer Punches and Headbutts
On June 7, the brazen crook tried to walk out with several bottles of alcohol without paying. When staff challenged him, he launched a violent attack, punching and headbutting two employees.
Man in Custody Ahead of Court Date
Stephen Ewens, 35, from Oak View, Edenbridge, was arrested on the spot. He now faces five theft charges and two assault counts. Ewens was remanded in custody and is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 9.
