A man remains in a London hospital following a serious assault in Kent. The victim, named locally as Jamie, was attacked before falling from a height onto a busy main road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Staff at a nearby newsagent revealed that CCTV captured paramedics arriving just after midnight, racing to provide emergency care. The victim suffered serious injuries, and the road remains closed while police continue their investigation.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to Borstal Street, Rochester at 11.55pm on Saturday 5 November 2022 following a report a man had been assaulted. Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the man was taken to a London hospital.”
“A 31-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody.”
“The road is currently closed while enquiries into the incident continue.”
