Man Seriously Injured in Borstal Assault, Falls onto Busy Road
A man remains in a London hospital after a brutal assault in Kent left him seriously injured. Emergency crews rushed to Borstal Street, Rochester, in the early hours of Sunday after the victim, known locally as Jamie, fell from a height onto a busy main road.
Crime Scene Hits Borstal Street
Borstal Street is shut tight as officers from SOCO, dressed in white forensic suits, scour the scene for evidence. Friends of the victim spoke to CID detectives, confirming Jamie was transferred straight to a London hospital for urgent treatment.
Shocking CCTV Footage Shows Ambulance Arrival
Staff at a nearby newsagent revealed CCTV footage captured an ambulance arriving just after midnight. Paramedics battled to save the man, who was suffering serious injuries.
Police Make Arrest as Investigation Continues
A Kent Police spokesman said:
“Kent Police was called to Borstal Street, Rochester at 11.55pm on Saturday 5 November 2022 following a report a man had been assaulted. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended. The man was taken to a London hospital. A 31-year-old man has since been arrested and taken into custody. The road remains closed as enquiries continue.”
With the road still closed, police investigations are ongoing as locals await more answers in this violent attack.
