Woman attacked and dragged to ground in Canterbury Street mugging

A woman was viciously assaulted on Canterbury Street around 10.30pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. The victim, walking towards the High Street, was grabbed from behind by a man who pulled her to the floor. She managed to escape but suffered injuries to her face and arm.

Police release CCTV image to find attacker

Detective Inspector Nichole Carter of the Medway Victim Based Crime Team is on the case.

“Investigators have reviewed CCTV footage and are now releasing an image of a man who may help with enquiries. Although blurred, people may recognise him by his clothing,” said DI Carter.

Officers are also appealing to drivers with dashcams and residents with private CCTV footage to check and come forward if they have any relevant recordings that haven’t been shared yet.
