Young Drug Dealer Jailed for Stabbing Buyer in Shocking Unprovoked Attack
Knife Attack on Vulnerable Victim
Jordan McFarlane, 20, has been locked up for three-and-a-half years after stabbing a drug user in a brutal, unprovoked assault. The attack happened on the evening of July 26 on Tennyson Road, Worthing. His 32-year-old victim, described as a vulnerable drug user, was left with two serious stab wounds but survived following emergency hospital treatment.
Tricked Into Meeting, Then Attacked
The victim had arranged to meet McFarlane to buy drugs but was ambushed instead. Witnesses say the 20-year-old suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in what appeared to be a vicious and unplanned attack.
Drug Dealer Caught With Knife and Evidence
McFarlane, from Chadwell Heath, Barking, was arrested two days after the stabbing near his home. Police found a knife hidden in his waistband. A search of his mobile phone revealed he’d been supplying the victim with Class A drugs like crack cocaine and diamorphine.
Prison and Tough Violence Order
At Lewes Crown Court on November 6, McFarlane pleaded guilty to charges including drug supply, possession of a knife in public, and causing grievous bodily harm. Alongside his jail sentence, he was slapped with a Serious Violence Reduction Order (SVRO) for two years starting from his release. This means police can stop and search him anytime to make sure he carries no weapons.
