Suspected Burglar Busted After Maidstone Break-In

A break-in at a private property in Bearsted has landed a man in hot water. On 18 September 2020, thieves struck at a garage on Mallings Drive, making off with central heating fittings and a stash of copper.
Police Nab Suspect
Fast forward to 12 October, when Brian Smith, 35, with no fixed address, was arrested over the burglary. Smith now faces serious charges over the raid.
Next Stop: Court
The suspect has been charged with burglary and granted bail. He is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 11 November.
