Man and woman charged with murder of 14-year-old girl in Darlington
Fatal Incident on Geneva Road
A 14-year-old girl has died following a shocking incident on Geneva Road, Darlington. Emergency services were called just after 11pm on Friday night, but despite their best efforts, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Arrested and Charged
Simon Vickers and Sarah Hall, both local residents, have been charged with murder. They are due to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Police Investigate, Community on Edge
Detective Superintendent Craig Rudd said: “Investigative work is still being carried out at the scene. I would like to thank the local community for their patience and cooperation and to reassure residents that we believe this to be an isolated incident.”
