Couple Found Stabbed to Death in Thamesmead Horror
Grim Discovery on Holstein Way
Police found a man and woman dead inside a home in Thamesmead, South East London, on Tuesday afternoon. The victims were identified as 51-year-old Michelle Mileham and 53-year-old Gordon Mileham. Emergency crews forced their way into the house just before 3pm after concerns were raised over the occupants’ welfare.
Death Confirmed: Stab Wounds Fatal
Both Michelle and Gordon were found with serious stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem confirmed that stab injuries caused their deaths. Police have declared Michelle’s death a murder but say Gordon’s death is not suspicious. Authorities are currently not searching for anyone else in connection with the killings.
Police Support and Investigation Ongoing
The Metropolitan Police have notified the next of kin and have assigned specially trained officers to support the family. Holstein Way remains sealed off as forensic teams comb the scene for evidence.
An inquest into the deaths will open on April 10 at Croydon Coroner’s Court.
A police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Michelle and Gordon at this tragic time. We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
