Man Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Woolwich Flat

Body Discovered at Woolwich Property

A woman’s body was found inside a flat at St Domingo House on Leda Road, Woolwich, south-east London.

Police were called at 12:03pm on Tuesday, November 19, following concerns for the woman’s welfare. Officers arrived to find the deceased. Her identity has not yet been released as next of kin are being informed.

49-Year-Old Man Arrested and Released on Bail

A 49-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is now out on bail. No charges have been brought as police continue their inquiries into the woman’s death.

The Metropolitan Police emphasised the investigation is ongoing and detectives are piecing together how she died.

Police Appeal for Information

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“Police were called to reports of concern over a person’s safety at an address in Woolwich, south-east London, at around 12:03hrs on Tuesday, 19 November. Officers attended St Domingo House, Leda Road, where they found the body of a female. A 49-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail. Enquiries are ongoing.”
