Eight-Year-Old Girl Caught in Kensington Shooting Chaos
Police were scrambled to Southern Row, Kensington, just after 5.30pm on Sunday, 24 November, following reports of shots fired. A man and a young girl inside a vehicle were hit by gunfire.
The victims: a 34-year-old man with potentially life-changing injuries, and an eight-year-old girl seriously wounded but stable in hospital.
Man Arrested and Bailed Over Attempted Murder
A 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He’s now bailed until early February as police probe the attack’s motive and circumstances.
Police Vow Tough Action and Call for Witnesses
Superintendent Owen Renowden, head of policing in Kensington and Chelsea, said:
“Our Specialist Crime Command detectives are leading this investigation, working closely with local teams. We know shootings shake the community, so expect a strong police presence in the area for days to come.
