Man Charged Over Stabbing Outside Student Housing in Shelton

A 20-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing incident outside student accommodation in Shelton.

Stabbing Sparks Police Rush to Caledonia Road

Officers were called to a disturbance outside Caledonia House on Caledonia Road at around 3pm on Saturday, 15 May. Bamise Emmanuel Adeyemi, of Caledonian Road, Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested at the scene.

Adeyemi Faces Multiple Charges, Including Intent to Wound

Adeyemi has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent, possession of a bladed or sharp article in public, and possession of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis). He appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 19 May and was remanded in custody.

He is set to face trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 21 June.

Victim Injured But Discharged from Hospital

The victim, a 23-year-old man from London, suffered a 2cm stab wound to his shoulder during the disturbance. He was treated at Royal Stoke University Hospital and discharged the same day.
