Goole Axe Attack Horror: Man Charged with Attempted Murder

A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged over a terrifying axe assault in Goole.

Anthony McDonald, from Ascot Avenue, Cantley, Doncaster, now faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon. He appeared at Hull Magistrates Court on Friday 5 April and was remanded in custody awaiting further proceedings.

Woman Critically Injured in Brutal Attack

The shocking assault happened just after 5.25pm on Wednesday 3 April along Boothferry Road. Emergency services were called after reports of a woman being seriously attacked by a man wielding what is believed to be an axe.

The victim was rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
