Burglar Busted After Raid Spree in Kent Towns

A man has been charged over a series of smash-and-grab burglaries across Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, and Bromley. Police say the thief targeted high-value items and forced his way into homes.

Arrest Made in String of Smash-and-Grab Raids

Frederic Webb, 39, from Hitchen Hatch Lane, Sevenoaks, was arrested by Kent Police on Thursday 10 April. Officers were investigating three break-ins reported between 28 March and 7 April 2025 in Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.

In each burglary, Webb is accused of smashing windows or patio doors to break in. Loot stolen included jewellery, silverware, watches, and cash. Police believe these crimes are linked to another similar break-in that took place in Bromley on 17 January this year.

Charged and Remanded Ahead of Court Date

After a coordinated probe, detectives connected the dots and arrested Webb last week. He has now been charged with burglary and remanded in custody. His next hearing is scheduled for Maidstone Crown Court on 9 May 2025.

Police Seek Public Help
