Chichester Police Hunt Purse Thief Spotted Using Stolen Cards

Police in Chichester are on the lookout for a man linked to two purse thefts in the city centre. The sneak thief struck twice on Saturdays lunchtime – first on 2 March, then again on 13 April.

How the Crime Unfolded

The culprit targeted unattended bags, grabbing purses. The stolen bank cards were quickly used in nearby shops and pubs. Both times, the thief bought a single rail ticket to Havant with the stolen cards.

Police Appeal for Help

PC Darren Hughes urged anyone who recognises the man to come forward. “If you think you know this man, please contact us online or call 101,” he said. Quote Sussex serial 0297 of 03/03 when reporting.
