Man Charged Over Tower Block Metal Theft in Birmingham

West Midlands Police have charged a 47-year-old man after dry riser valves and copper pipework were snatched from Birmingham tower blocks.

Two Thefts Spark Arrest in Nechells and Saltley

The metal thefts happened in Bloomsbury Street, Nechells, in August and Sladefield Road, Saltley, in October. Police arrested the man in connection with both incidents.

Man Faces Burglaries and Offensive Weapon Charges

He was charged yesterday with multiple burglaries and is remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday, 1 January.

At Sladefield Road, a victim was threatened with a bunsen burner. The suspect now also faces a charge of threatening with an offensive weapon.
