Man Charged After Brutal Head Injury Assault in Faversham
A shocking early morning attack in Faversham has landed a man behind bars. Kent Police were called to Larksfield Road at 4.26am on 16 March 2019 after a serious assault left a man in his 40s with severe head injuries.
Victim Flown to London Hospital After Horrific Attack
The injured man was rushed to a London hospital where medics say his condition is serious but stable. Police quickly launched an investigation and tracked down Lewis Shaw, 27, from Essella Road, Ashford.
Multiple Charges Including Attempted Murder
Shaw was arrested on 23 March and hit with a string of charges: attempted murder, two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession of a bladed article, criminal damage, and a public order offence.
Shaw Remanded Ahead of Crown Court Hearing
He appeared before Medway Magistrates Court on 25 March and was remanded in custody. Shaw is set to face Maidstone Crown Court on 23 April.
