Man Charged with Murder After Woman Found Dead in Havant Home

A man has been charged with murder after police discovered a woman’s body at a property in Havant, Hampshire.

Police Alerted by Man on M40 Motorway

Police were contacted around 9:42am on Thursday, April 17, when a man was seen walking alone near junction 3 on the M40 motorway. During the encounter, the man revealed that a woman he knew had died at an address in Timsbury Crescent, Havant.

Body Found at Property, Murder Probe Launched

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary quickly searched the home and found the body of a woman believed to be in her 40s.

A murder investigation was immediately launched. Norbert Maiksner, 48, of Timsbury Crescent, was arrested and has now been formally charged with murder.

Suspect to Appear in Court

Maiksner is set to appear at East Hampshire Remand Court in Portsmouth on Monday, April 21, 2025.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the victim during this tragic and difficult time. We are continuing to support them as the investigation progresses,” said a police spokesperson.
