A 50-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an 80-year-old woman in Queen’s Park. Steven Clark, from Bravington Road W9, appeared in custody at 1 Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 March. He is due to face the Central Criminal Court on Tuesday, 26 March.

Tragic Incident Unfolds in Early Hours

Police were called to a home in Fourth Avenue W10 at around 4:15am on 20 March after a distress call. London Ambulance Service staff were already at the scene and tragically pronounced Ursula Uhlemann dead. Clark was arrested shortly after and charged in connection with her death.

Relationship Between Victim and Suspect Under Investigation

It is believed Clark and Ursula knew each other, but the exact nature of their relationship remains unclear. A post-mortem revealed the provisional cause of death was compression to the neck.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Ursula’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police via 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting reference CAD 749/20 Mar.
