A man suspected of masterminding a spate of burglaries has been arrested at Heathrow Airport after being denied entry to Canada. Leonardo Valesquez-Valencia, 37, with no fixed address, is linked to a major Sevenoaks break-in and a trail of other thefts across seven counties.

On the evening of Thursday 8 February 2024, police received an emergency call reporting three masked men escaping on foot from a property near St John’s Hill. Despite swift response, the suspects vanished before officers arrived.
Charges Mount Across Seven Counties
Valesquez-Valencia faces ten counts of burglary connected to incidents spanning Kent, Essex, London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Wiltshire. He was arrested upon his return to the UK on Tuesday 21 May after Canada refused him entry.
Court Appearance and Custody
The 37-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 May and has been remanded in custody. He awaits a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court scheduled for Friday 21 June.
