Notting Hill Drive-By Shooter Convicted After Brutal Attack

A 25-year-old man has been found guilty over a vicious drive-by shooting in Notting Hill that left a victim fighting for his life.

Nathan Tokosi Found Guilty at Old Bailey

Nathan Tokosi, from Grove Street, Lewisham, was convicted of attempted murder and multiple firearms offences by a jury at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, March 18. The charges include two counts each of possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Victim Shot Multiple Times in Early Morning Horror

The terrifying incident occurred just after 2am on Monday, November 20, 2023. Police rushed to Clydesdale Road, Notting Hill, after reports of a drive-by shooting. A car pulled up alongside another vehicle, and a passenger unleashed gunfire, hitting the 27-year-old victim in the body, mouth and head.

The victim was later found at home and rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. He survived but suffered serious injuries.

Evidence and Arrest Seal Tokosi’s Fate

  • A stolen car linked to the shooting was found abandoned on Allington Road, Queen’s Park.
  • Police recovered a black bag nearby containing a handgun and ammunition.
  • Forensic tests uncovered Tokosi’s DNA inside the vehicle, sealing his involvement.
  • Tokosi was arrested on February 16, 2024, when police stopped his car in Lewisham.
  • A search of his home found another firearm and more ammunition.

Detective Constable Hannah Forrest of the Met’s Specialist Crime South unit said: “This was a savage attack, with the victim requiring emergency surgery after being shot in the body, mouth and head. The verdict in this case shows that this violent criminality will not be tolerated on London’s streets. Tokosi is a highly dangerous individual who had only just been released from prison for a previous offence at the time of the shooting.”

Tokosi remains in custody. Sentencing will take place at the Old Bailey on a date yet to be announced.

Met Police Score Win in Fight Against Gun Crime

This conviction is a major victory for the Metropolitan Police as they continue cracking down on violent criminals armed with guns. Their efforts to keep London’s streets safe show no sign of slowing down.
