Monster Anthony Stocks Guilty of Attempted Murder and Rape
Anthony Stocks, 54, from Goring-on-Thames, has been found guilty of a string of vile crimes including attempted murder and rape. The jury handed down a unanimous verdict after a joint investigation by Thames Valley and Sussex Police.
Horrific Abuse Against Young Girl Exposed
Stocks preyed on a young girl, subjecting her to rape and multiple sexual assaults between 2019 and 2022. The terrifying abuse was uncovered when a brave young boy discovered what was happening and tried to protect her.
Sinister Plot to Silence Boy at Oxfordshire Quarry
Seeing the boy as a threat, Stocks took him to an Oxfordshire quarry planning to push him to his death. He chickened out at the last moment but later lured the boy to cliffs near Brighton on September 24, 2022.
Stocks shoved the boy off a cliff, sending him plummeting 100 feet onto concrete below. Miraculously, the boy survived, though he has no memory of the fall.
Police Uncover Dark Motive
At first, police thought the fall was an accident. But further investigation revealed Stocks intended to kill the boy to continue abusing the girl without interference.
“These crimes are absolutely horrific and evil,” said Detective Sergeant Rachel Jackson of Thames Valley Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit. “Stocks has shown no remorse throughout.”
Stocks faces sentencing soon. His chilling actions underscore the brutal lengths some will go to protect their criminal deeds.
