Man Hospitalised with Head Injury After Leicester Square Brawl
A man suffered a head injury following a violent altercation in Leicester Square, one of London’s busiest tourist spots.
Emergency Response at Leicester Square
The fight broke out at around 4:09pm on Saturday, May 10. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene. Officers cordoned off part of the square as crowds looked on while medics treated the injured man.
Victim in His 40s Taken to Hospital
The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was treated on site before being rushed to hospital. Fortunately, the injuries have been confirmed as non-life threatening.
Suspect Arrested on Suspicion of GBH
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and remains in police custody, according to the Metropolitan Police.
