Driver Nabbed with 12,000 LSD Tabs After M20 Crash
A motorist involved in a crash on the M20 near Aylesford is behind bars after police uncovered more than 12,000 LSD hits inside his van.
Erratic Driving on M20 Leads to Major Drug Bust
On 22 July 2020, Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit rushed to the coastbound carriageway near Blue Bell Hill following reports of erratic driving. Officers found Jack Supple’s van halted against the hard shoulder barrier. The 31-year-old admitted to taking ketamine and was swiftly arrested.
Huge Haul of LSD and Ketamine Discovered
- Officers found perforated sheets of LSD deals on the sun visor and in a sports bag on the back seat.
- A small bag of ketamine was seized from the passenger footwell.
- A search of Supple’s home uncovered more LSD sheets plus nearly £2,000 in cash stashed inside a bottle.
Supple Sentenced to Four-and-a-Half Years
Supple, from Upper Street, Leeds, Maidstone, was charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of Class B drugs, and handling criminal property. At Maidstone Crown Court, he pleaded guilty and was jailed for four years and six months on 23 June 2021.
“In total, our officers seized 12,342 LSD deals with an estimated street value of almost £21,000,” said Detective Constable Tony Hatcher of Tonbridge CID.
“This is a significant quantity of Class A drugs and it is only right Supple is now serving a prison sentence. It is wrong that drug dealers profit from their criminality and we will be seeking confiscation of the cash seized from his home.”
