Flatless Abuser Anthony Sexton Jailed for Four Years
Anthony Sexton, 34, of no fixed address, has been locked up for four years after a chilling spree of abuse. Oxford Crown Court handed down the sentence on Friday (3 March) following a guilty verdict from a jury.
Jury Finds Sexton Guilty of Multiple Offences
The court heard how Sexton was convicted of coercive control, actual bodily harm, common assault, criminal damage, and witness intimidation. The trial, which wrapped up on 27 January, saw the jury unanimously agree on his guilt.
Abuse Spanned Several Months, Left Victims Traumatized
- Between May and July 2022, Sexton repeatedly terrorised a female victim, making her live in fear through coercive control.
- In July, he brutally assaulted a male victim, breaking his nose, and publicly humiliated him by stripping him down to his underwear.
- A few days later, Sexton struck both victims again and caused damage to property.
- He also threatened the female victim with further violence.
Sexton was arrested and charged on 5 August 2022.
