Predator Shaun Lynam Jailed for Nearly Four Years

Shaun Lynam, 55, has been slammed with a prison term of three years and nine months after trying to sexually communicate with who he thought was a 14-year-old girl online. The catch? The ‘child’ was actually an adult posing as a teen on Facebook.

Explicit Messages and a Shocking Hotel Proposal

The sick saga kicked off in January when Lynam sent explicit texts and a revealing photo of himself. He even suggested meeting the fake teenager at a hotel in Leeds.

Luckily, the ‘teenager’ quickly tipped off the police, exposing Lynam’s sick intentions before anything worse could happen.

Detective Slams ‘Deplorable’ Behaviour

Detective Constable Bethany Reynolds condemned Lynam’s actions: “His suggestion of meeting at a hotel clearly shows his deplorable intentions.”
