Man Utd Star Faces Court Over Serious Charges

The 21-year-old Manchester United player appeared in court on Monday, October 17, charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault. All three counts involve the same complainant.

Wearing a grey sweatshirt and jogging bottoms, the footballer confirmed his name, date of birth, and address during the hearing. Family members watched nervously from the public gallery as he glanced their way before being escorted down by two dock officers.

Next Hearing Set for November 21 at Manchester Crown Court

The player, who has not been named in court, is due back at Manchester Crown Court on November 21. He was initially detained in January and released on bail until October 15, when he allegedly breached bail conditions. That breach prompted prosecutors to press charges.

Still Suspended from Football

Since his first arrest, the footballer hasn’t played professional football and remains suspended by Manchester United, who said the suspension will continue “pending the outcome of the judicial process.”
