Morrisons has announced a major shake-up in its logistics operations. In a March 16 message to managers, the supermarket giant revealed its contract has ended, with all transport operations in Stockton, Wakefield, Gadbrook, and Willow Green set to switch to Eddie Stobart, part of the Culina Group.

However, the planning teams at these sites will return to Morrisons control.

The message confirmed: “All logistics transport operations in Stockton, Wakefield, Gadbrook and Willow Green will move to Eddie Stobart, part of the Culina Group.” This marks a significant change for the supermarket’s supply chain.

Support for Staff Transfers Underway

Morrisons assured staff they will support the TUPE process alongside Eddie Stobart and Wincanton for transport and planning teams, ensuring smooth employee transfers during the transition.
