Manhunt Intensifies for Fugitive Believed Hiding in Blackburn
Police are in hot pursuit of Mohammed Rehan Awan, known as Ronnie, who is believed to be on the run in Blackburn. Officers have fresh leads on his possible location and warn it’s only a matter of time before they catch him.
Wanted for Burglary and Prison Escape
Awan, also known as Rahan Malik, is wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary on Devon Road, Blackburn, on January 29th. The 30-year-old, formerly of Livingstone Road, also escaped from HMP in October last year.
He was jailed in June 2017 for 10 years after being convicted of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Description & Warning to Public
- Awan is around 5ft 8in tall
- Slim build
- Short black hair
- Full beard and moustache
Officers believe he has links to Clitheroe and Nelson.
PC Mark Slater said: “If Ronnie sees this appeal I would advise him to hand himself in immediately. We urge anyone with information to come forward. And remember, helping a fugitive can land you in trouble too.”
