Mother Stabbed at Notting Hill Carnival Family Day

Cher Maximen, 32, was critically injured in a stabbing during the family day at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday, August 25. The mum was with her three-year-old daughter, family, and friends when the shocking attack unfolded.

Brave Intervention Ends in Tragedy

Ms Maximen tried to break up a fight but was stabbed in the groin. The wound caused a cardiac arrest, leaving her in a coma and fighting for her life. Court reports revealed she lost 20 units of blood, suffered a collapsed lung, and may face leg amputation.

Three Brothers Face Charges Over Carnage

  • Shakiel Thibou, 24, charged with attempted murder, knife possession in public, and violent disorder.
  • Sheldon Thibou, 24, charged with violent disorder, assaulting an emergency worker, and possession of a stun gun.
  • Shaeim Thibou, 21, charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.

All three appeared in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 28. Shakiel and Sheldon gave no plea; Shaeim pleaded not guilty. They were remanded in custody by Judge John Zani ahead of their Old Bailey hearing on September 25.
