Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Norwich Stabbing

A deadly stabbing in Norwich has rocked the community after a man was found fatally wounded at a home on Somerleyton Street.

Victim Dies from Chest Stab Wound

Police arrested 27-year-old Benjamin Katabana, a Congolese national living on Somerleyton Street, shortly after the incident on Saturday morning. The victim, a man in his 30s, was found with a fatal stab wound to the chest. A Home Office post-mortem confirmed the cause of death.

Suspect Held and Charged

Katabana was charged with murder on Sunday evening. He remains in custody and is due to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 24 November 2025).
