Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing of 24-Year-Old in Ilford
Jean Marc Dable, 24, has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of Akeem Dylon Barnes in Ilford. The victim, also 24, was found with fatal knife wounds last Sunday, sparking a police hunt that led to the arrest.
Stabbing Victim Dies After Ilford Attack
Police were called to a disturbance at Telegraph Mews, Seven Kings, at 6:10am on Sunday, 24 November, after reports of a group fight. Although officers found no stab wounds at the scene, shortly after they were rushed to Ilford Lane where Akeem Dylon Barnes was discovered with knife injuries.
Officers gave first aid before the London Ambulance Service rushed Barnes to an East London hospital. Sadly, he died at 12:36pm the same day. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Jean Marc Dable, with no fixed address, was arrested on Saturday, 30 November. He was charged with murder and is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 December.
