Murder Probe Underway After Deadly NW London Shooting
Police launch murder investigation after a man shot dead in North West London.
Tragic Shooting Rocks Hansel Road
Officers were scrambled to Hansel Road, NW6, just after midnight on Wednesday, 12 August following reports of a shooting at 12.20am.
Armed police and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, where they found a man in his 20s with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
Homicide Detectives Hunt for Answers
So far, no arrests have been made. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the murder investigation, with a crime scene still in place.
Chief Superintendent Roy Smith, North West BCU Commander, said:
“Firstly my thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones. Our officers are working tirelessly to support them.
“Met Police and London Ambulance crews ran towards danger to try and save this young man’s life — just as they would for any of us.
“We’re using every tactic to tackle this sort of mindless violence. But we need your help. Officers will be patrolling the area in coming days. Please stop and talk if you have any information that can aid our investigation.”
