Rochester Carjacking Chaos Ends in High-Speed Chase and Arrests
Late Night Robbery Shakes Columbine Road
Kent Police were called just after 11.30pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, following a daring robbery in progress on Columbine Road, Rochester.
Two victims sitting in their car were suddenly attacked by a pair of men who then stole the vehicle.
Police Hot on the Thieves’ Tail
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit, already patrolling nearby, spotted the stolen car. A short but intense pursuit ended when the getaway vehicle slammed into a wall on Chatham Hill.
Two Arrested After Dramatic Pursuit
The suspects, aged 29 and 31, were arrested at 11.47pm. They were taken to hospital for checks before being hauled into custody.
Both face multiple charges including robbery, assault, affray, driving under the influence, and failing to stop for police.
