Man Threatened and Robbed Near Canterbury Junction

A man riding an orange push bike was threatened and had his mobile phone stolen near the junction of Whitefriars Street and Canterbury Lane at about 7pm on Wednesday, 1 November.

Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail

The victim reportedly knew one of the two men who approached him. The accused made threats before snatching the phone.

Police arrested a 39-year-old local man soon after the incident on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on bail as detectives carry on with their investigation.

Witnesses Asked to Come Forward

Officers believe others in the area at the time could provide vital information to help solve the case.
