Police Nab Suspects in Drug and Knife Probe
Police have swooped on two men in Portsmouth as part of a major crackdown. A 41-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife and involvement in producing Class B drugs. Meanwhile, a 46-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of Class B drug production. Both remain in custody.
High Harm Team Takes Action Against Drug Trade
Inspector Alison Attwood of the High Harm Team praised the arrests, saying, “This is another great piece of work by high harm officers who develop intelligence daily and take action to target drug suppliers.”

The police are fighting back against criticism about seizing cannabis. Inspector Attwood stressed, “We can assure you it is not ‘just a plant.’ The drug trade wreaks havoc on communities. Children get exploited and dragged into this filthy business, which is often connected to nasty crimes like knife offences.”
